Onroute Truckstops adopts new SNAP meal voucher deal

Onroute can now offer parking with a meal voucher on SNAP at all four of its truckstops. The new offer is part of a recent initiative by SNAP which enables operators to opt in to a scheme that allows their drivers to get a meal voucher included in the cost of parking.

An early adopter of the scheme, Onroute is delighted to now offer a choice of parking plus a shower or, for those that opt in, parking plus a shower plus a food voucher worth £9.00 on SNAP. Drivers can redeem the voucher against any hot or cold meals and drinks in the café.

Head of Operations at Onroute Truckstops, Alisdair Shearer said; “In our recent survey quite a few drivers asked about being able to pay for meals on SNAP so we were keen to sign up to the new initiative. 

There’s a lot to be said for being able to enjoy a hot meal at the end of a hard day’s drive. It’s also healthy for drivers to have a break from being sat alone in their cabs and spend some time in the company of other people. We are working hard to make sure that our cafés offer a comfortable, home-from-home environment and drivers are always assured a warm welcome from our friendly staff.
